Stimulated by the race towards miniaturization in the microelectronics industry, research in Nanosciences is conducted at two departments within the Physical Sciences Division: Iramis in Saclay and the Inac in Grenoble.

CEA Saclay welcomes over 1,000 foreign scientists each year. In order to better serve CEA Saclay’s international community, an International Office was opened on January 1^st, 2012. A multilingual staff is readily available to assist its foreign scientists and students through immigration procedures and to aid them in their immersion in the local area.
